Brittni and Nick Whiteface Club and Resort wedding occured on on a classically cloudy, stunningly gorgeous fall day. As the waters of Lake Placid lapped the shoreline behind them and Whiteface Mountain stood boldly in the distance, revealing itself from beneath a veil of clouds, Brittni and Nick said I do. Then Nick took Brittni’s face in his hands and wrapped her up in a storybook kiss before they proudly turned to face their guests, hand in hand.
Brittni and Nick planned this day just right. The sole focus was on them being present with family and friends and especially each other, and soaking up every second they’d so eagerly planned for. From Brittni’s first look with her dad, to the moment Nick’s adoring sisters Anne and Perri first laid eyes on him looking dapper in his suit, to all of the touching and crazy-fun moments on the dancefloor, Brittni and Nick were wholly present, enjoying every minute.
As avid high peak hikers, and total Adirondack junkies, photos in a few of their favorite spots were a must. It may be easy to assume that wedding photos are just another element in the necessary rigamorole of a wedding day; that you may not want to devote time to having them taken, but that as everyone says, you’ll be happy to have them later. And yet Brittni and Nick are living proof that when your head is in the right place, the time you spend having your photographer capture your love can be such an awesome and memorable aspect of your day. It’s one of the few moments that you can step away from everything, tuck away in a quiet place and really, truly do nothing other than just “be” together. Brittni and Nick made moments like these a priority, they took their time, they enjoyed each other. And the results are as beautiful as they are.
