Glorious. Golden. And gorgeous: the three words I would use to describe Katie and Tyson’s October wedding at Settles Hill in Altamont. From the autumnal florals, to the glowing orange light, to pumpkins of all shapes and sizes decorating the tables, this wedding was basking in everything we love about October in the northeast. Katie carefully planned every detail to make this a day to dream about for years to come. But if you ask me what my favorite visual detail was, I would say it was –hands down—the bridesmaids’ and flower girls’ white dresses. Just wait until you see how stunning this group of beauties looks decked out in white. And let me tell you, they are as beautiful inside as they are out – seriously one of the nicest bridal parties I’ve had the pleasure to spend the day with! And if you know Katie, you know how thoroughly kind-hearted she is, so it’s no surprise that she’s surrounded by so many wonderful women who genuinely and deeply adore her.
Katie and Tyson’s daughters Kaylee and Natalee excitedly fulfilled the roll of flower girls, and what a job they did! They were both so darn cute and so well behaved that I had to refrain from scooping them right up, kissing their cheeks, and spinning them in circles. One of the most beautiful moments of the day happened during the ceremony when the couple’s oldest daughter broke down in tears of joy as her mommy and daddy said “I do”. Another favorite moment was watching Katie, Tyson, and the girls dance as a family for the first dance. What could be sweeter?
