I love this family and I couldn’t be more excited about the fact that this was my second session with them this summer. The first took place on a warm evening in mid-July at the Empire State Plaza. Although I love a traditional family photo session, what I love even more is a Glow Session. So when Nicole suggested we do one at their new summer house on Sacandaga, I was giddy with excitement. My Glow Sessions, which you can read more about here are inspired by my desire to capture people in their authentic enviroments in a manner that is simple, easy, and as real as you can get. Posing and perfect smiles aren’t the objective. Enjoying one another is.
So here are Nicole and Shawn and their boys Ryan and Gregory, both of whom I have had the joy of photographing since birth, at their gorgeous spot on the lake on a mild Friday evening in early September. They have a weekend of a sunny warm forecasts and the possibility of all sorts of adventures spread ahead of them and nothing left to do but play, love, and just “be” in this magnificent place where they are laying new roots.
