M&D Farm Wedding in Westerlo, NY | Albany Wedding Photographer | Nina & Jesse

In many ways the photos from Nina and Jesse’s M&D Farm wedding in Westerlo, NY speak for themselves, but there were numerous moments from their day that will stay with me for a very long time:

The incredible ceremony delivered by cousin Ron.  I have witnessed too many wedding ceremonies to count and I’ve enjoyed every last one, but as a result, a ceremony has to be really unique and really impressive to stand out.  Ron’s ceremony didn’t miss a beat:  it was sweet and funny and poignant and existential and sentimental.  It struck a deep chord.  And I imagine it won’t soon be forgotten by every guest in attendance.

Jesse’s mom, Tammy.  As a mother of two boys, Tammy’s face will be imprinted in my mind for a long time.  There were few moments throughout the day when she didn’t have tears in her eyes.  And the way she looks at her son just made the breath catch in my throat.  It was a bittersweet day for her, I imagine.  The pride she clearly felt to see Jesse stand up and profess his love for Nina was palpable, but so too was her sense of disbelief that the child she once rocked as a baby was officially all grown up.

The moment that Jesse and Nina walked back down the aisle as a married couple.  This was simply awesome.  They had been apart since the evening before and they both seemed to breath so much easier once back in one another’s presence.  As they got to the end of the aisle and kissed, Jesse wrapped his arms around Nina and pulled her in tight and with such sincerity whispered “I have missed you sooo much.”  To be apart is unnatural to them.  These two are 100% meant to be.

Add to this list the fact that I got to work beside the most awesome folks:  Daniel, one of the owners and designers of the stunning M&D Farm, who was so kind and helpful and accommodating at every turn.  And Sarah and the rest of the amazing staff of Birch Hill Catering, who absolutely worked their tails off in the sweltering heat to keep everything running smoothly and make sure every last guest was happy, hydrated, and well-fed.

As I said, I won’t soon forget this magnificent day, and I’m certain I’m not alone in that sentiment.
