The first time I saw a venue decked out with Pieceful Settings’ gorgeous table settings, I audibly gasped. The delicate, timeless look of her tablescapes will seriously take your breath away, making most table designs you’ll see following just pale in comparison. I love the unique personalized touch that Sheila’s Olesky’s china lends to a wedding reception. And the total sentamentalist in me cannot help but ever-imagine the history behind each hand-selected, and carefully placed piece of china in her extensive collection. Imagine the dinner parties they’ve seen, the homes they lived in, the meals they’ve served, the stories they’ve heard, the celebrations they’ve fed. I love that with every wedding Pieceful Settings is a part of, the collection’s stories continue to grow in richness and history.

Tell us about how Pieceful Settings came to be? What inspired this concept? And was there a defining moment that launched the idea from a concept into a business?
Pieceful Settings came along while planning my own wedding in 2012. We found Burlap and Beams when it was in rare form, still being cleaned of hay and remnants of animals. I’ve always been able to see the beauty in things others may not always notice, and I had a vision for our entire day from that very first visit. There is something special to be able to take something old and unwanted and turn into something beautiful again. Continuing with that sentiment, I started collecting china, specifically for our wedding with no thoughts of a business. I would have to say after around 100 sets, my husband asked me what are we going to do with all of this after the wedding. Jokingly I replied, “I don’t know, maybe I’ll rent them out.” Then those words hit me like a ton of bricks: Yes!!! I’ll start a rental and design business. And thus, Pieceful Settings was born.
