I feel so blessed to have been a part of this day. I first met Anna back in 2011 when she was a student in one of my classes at The College of Saint Rose. She always had a smile for me, despite how early in the morning class met, and she would regularly raise her hand to answer my inane questions when the rest of the class fell shy and quiet. She was one of my favorites!! So when Devin reached out to me in the summer of 2017 to introduce himself as Anna’s brand new fiance and inquire about wedding photography, I was delighted. I couldn’t wait to meet the person Anna had chosen to spend her life with and I couldn’t wait to catch up with her and find out where life had taken her in the years since we’d talked.
As anyone who’s spent even a second in their presence would agree, Anna and Devin are an awesome match. Their silly personalities mesh perfectly together and they balance each other in a way that puts them immediately at ease when they see each other. My favorite moment from their wedding day was their first look. Devin was absolutely gobsmacked when he laid eyes on Anna and the adoring look didn’t leave his face all day. I can’t wait to check back in with them in five years and twenty years and forty years…I guarantee they’ll still be looking at each other with the same smitten expression they wore on their faces on their wedding day.
