With a natural inclination to storytelling, I have been shooting weddings for 10 years and find myself in the breed of wedding photographers concerned with the ultimate experience of the day, capturing people’s natural beauty in a fun and relaxing manner, while producing images for people of which they can be proud to hang as fine art. The love for the craft sparked in high school, spending any free time in the dark room and always having a camera within reach. I went on to study Fine Arts and Journalism at the University at Albany, which influences my artful documentary style in shooting and storytelling. In 2011, an internship with a large photography studio resulted in my falling in love with capturing weddings. They gave me such a rush that I had never felt before. The careful timing, the joyous atmospheres, the precise planning and anticipation. Each wedding is so different and every couple has a special story to tell; every family has a unique dynamic which I love to capture. The connections and special moments found on a wedding day are like no other. Over the last decade, I have shot more weddings and families than I can count and have developed a style and professional experience in the industry that I am super proud of. I strive to capture each individual and event with a tailored intention, to best fit its vibe and needs. Candid and natural moments are my favorite. I am a sucker for tiny details, watching parents hold it together while their babies say “I do,” dramatic lighting and packed dance floors.
I love being there for my couples, as they often need someone who has their back and makes sure their day goes as smoothly as possible. Whether it’s pinning on boutonnieres, sewing a ripped dress, or fixing a bridal up-do that isn’t holding up well, I’m a jack of all trades who has your best interest at heart and I am always happy to help! I prefer to be as laid back as possible with light direction and posing in order to provide the natural and artistic quality of my work. I truly thrive on having a personal connection with my couples. I love learning all about the love stories and family dynamics so that I can best capture the emotions and tiny moments that can often be missed, but that are extremely important to look back on.
