as i write this i am cuddled under a blanket in my favorite chair, a large mug of tea close by. the sun is shining brilliantly outside, creating a glare off the snow and melting the ice from yesterday’s snowfall. it’s difficult to believe that one week ago today i was with the peters family at five rivers enjoying a crisp fall afternoon.
lisa, chuck and their children, luke and emma, were the winners of the facebook photo contest i held earlier this month. 52 people entered to be randomly selected for a complimentary photo session and when the day came to draw a name, i was in complete suspense. who would the winner be? when lisa’s name was selected, i smiled big and then commenced my happy dance. not only did i know i’d have tons of fun photographing her sweet children, but i was also excited to catch up with lisa. upon doing the math i realized that she and i hadn’t seen each other since graduating from bethlehem high school together over 12 years ago!
as you’ll see, she and chuck (also a bethlehem graduate) have created a beautiful family. emma is the spitting image of her dad and luke is the spitting image of his mom, but there’s no denying the relation when you get these two side by side. i have to admit it took all i had to refrain from scooping them both up and cuddling the heck out of them.
thank, guys, for being so much fun to work with. i hope it isn’t another 12 years before we meet again.
