Maria and Andy’s wedding at The Century House in Latham couldn’t have been more sweet. These two are so very much in love and it shows in their every interaction. One of my favorite things about this couple is how much they like to laugh together – in fact, it remains my definiing memory of their engagement session, which you can see here. But another very vivid memory I have from their session was listening to Andy share the story of his proposal to Maria. As he spoke, his eyes flooded with tears and his lip quivered and I remember think “Gosh, every person should have someone who loves them as much as he loves Maria.”
Andy’s tears struck again on his wedding day when he and Maria had a few moments to sneak off alone to have photos taken before joining cocktail hour. As they stood beside the ivy wall at The Century House enjoying some quiet time and a break from the scattered rain, I asked Andy to close his eyes and remember exactly what he felt the first time he knew he was in love with Maria. When he opened his eyes, he gazed into hers and began to cry. It was one of the sweetest moments I’ve witnessed to date.
I hope Andy and Maria’s love always causes them to laugh together and to cry tears of great gratitude and joy.
