What to Expect

A Session with Carrie

A photo session is like a fingerprint – no two are alike.  This is why I enjoy shooting so much.  I never know what to expect and I’m always surprised. Lighting, setting, weather, the varying personalities of  subjects and the way individual characters play off of one another… these are just a few variables that make each session so unique and so much fun.

Some clients prefer a great deal of direction, while others would rather just “be” while I capture their character candidly.  Regardless of your style, my aim is to make you feel comfortable and to portray the essence of who you are.

Scheduling a Session

To schedule a session, simply contact me via the drop-down ”Contact” page linked at the top of the site.  I will be happy to accommodate your availability.

If you’re interested in scheduling a session, I encourage you to consider the setting that will assist me in capturing your true personality.  I am here to guide you through that selection process and I’m happy to offer ideas until we hit upon the location that’s just right for you.

Please note:  If you’re planning an outdoor location session, it’s best to schedule your shoot about an hour or two before sunset; this is the time that the light is most flattering.

Once the date and time have been established, I will draft up a contract and email it to you for your review.  Both parties will sign the contract beforehand.

Following your Session

Within ten days of your shoot, Carrie will post a sneak peek from your session on facebook.

Withiten weeks, your entire gallery will be posted to the site, along with a personalized blog that will include a selection of photos from your shoot.  Both the web gallery and the blog post can be shared on facebook, emailed to family and friends, or posted in a tweet.

If you have ordered a CD, prints, a DVD, or photobook, etc. these will be mailed to an address you provide.
