The entire day leading up to this shoot was picture perfect; there wasn’t a drop of rain in the forecast in my neck of the woods, but as soon as I hopped in the car and headed toward Hudson, mean black clouds began to form in the sky. My fingers were crossed that the weather would hold out, but as soon as I pulled into the parking lot, it started to rain. Grrrr! Emily and Jesse showed up just a few minutes later and we all pulled out our phones to check the radar. From the looks of things, the rain was soon to pass, so we waited it out until the sprinkle became a light drizzle and then suddenly it stopped altogether. Phew! Time to get busy making photos.
Two seconds into the shoot and I knew I was in for a good time. If I could choose one word to characterize this couple, it would be fun. They’re just plain fun. Jesse loves to joke around and Emily’s contagious laughter encourages his playfulness. As I shot, we laughed and chatted and laughed some more. And we talked Emily and Jesse’s beach wedding, which will be taking place in Florida at the close of October. Oh, and guess who gets to travel down, spend a few days on the beach, and shoot the wedding?! That’s right, me!! I can’t wait to bring you stories and images from their wedding, so stay tuned!
