Kaitlyn and Andy’s wedding was super special for so many reasons. Not only do these two make an incredible couple, but I have known Andy since birth, so when they said “I do” at the altar of The Delmar Reformed Church and then sealed their marriage with a kiss, I was more than just a little teary-eyed.
I know from experience that these two are a blast to photograph, so I’d looked forward to their wedding day with eager anticipation since last October when I photographed their engagement session (click here to view those photos). Given Kaitlyn’s background as a graphic designer and her keen eye for the perfect color scheme, I knew I was in for a treat when it came to photographing all the details Kaitlyn had so carefully planned out. And, boy, was I right! As I review these photos and relive the day, some of my favorite images are of the bridal party all together – I just can’t get enough of the salmons, pinks, and blues, especially against the gorgeous backdrop of the June foliage in all it’s green glory. And how much do I love that the front door of the church fit right into their color scheme? Drool.
I could easily go into great detail about how stunning Kaitlyn looked in her gorgeous lace dress (I mean, seriously!?), or how amazingly cooperative and fun, fun, fun the wedding party was to photograph, but the beauty of pictures is that they tell a story all their own.
