CK & Kerry

i was contacted by ck in late october.  he had stumbled upon my website while browsing the net and offered me the honor of photographing him and his fiance, kerry.  he and kerry were eager to schedule an outdoor session before the leaves fell from the trees, so we quickly got busy discussing dates and potential locations.  ck and kerry are getting married in malaysia in january 2012 and they had decided that they’d like to gear up for their big day by posing in their wedding attire.  when i asked ck what his personal vision for the shoot was, he responded in one sentence:  “we’re looking to capture ‘fun couple’ with a slight dose of elegance for the bride.”  next, he informed me that he would be bringing along a few props:  pink and white balloons, and a vintage bicycle.  when i read that, there was no doubt in my mind this session was going to be a blast!

we promptly scheduled for october 29th with little knowledge that the white stuff would make an early appearance this year.  thankfully, ck and kerry’s schedules correlated perfectly with mine and we were able to reschedule for the following weekend.  when ck and kerry arrived at our meeting point and stepped out of the car, i was blown away.  a) kerry is stunning.  b) her gown is so killer i wanted to steal it right off of her. c) ck looked handsome as can be. d) i could tell these two have a playful chemistry that would help me create some fun photos.  i could go all the way to “z” with this list, but i’ll let the photos speak for themselves…

as you peruse, check out kerry’s hair and makeup.  she had it it professionally done by krystal of krystal rose studio.  fabulous, isn’t it?

when it comes to posing for the camera, these two really know how to have a good time!  as i photographed them, i learned that they met at scout camp as teenagers and have been together since.  the ease  they feel in each other’s presence is contagious.  and as you see, they can turn on their inner models like no other.  these two really know how to bring it!  the sheer size of this post can attest to that – i struggled to narrow down the number of photos i featured, but i just have so many favorites i had to post them all.

thank you, ck and kerry.  i am so very honored that you chose me to help you mark this special time in your lives.  may you enjoy a lifetime of fun and elegance!
